WCO GENERAL DELEGATES MEETING HELD ON JUNE 5 2009 AT THE REINASSANCE MELAKA HOTEL, MELAKA, MALAYSIA.

• "New members had been approved by the Governing Board this week – Vision Aid Overseas, UK (Affiliate) and Associate members in Puerto Rico (Colegio de Optometras) and Portugal (APLO). There has been a last minute application for Associate Membership from Pakistan. The Executive Committee had raised some questions about the status of the organisation but the applicant had confirmed that the constitution document had now been signed and registered under Pakistan laws. The Governing Board had therefore approved the Pakistan Optometric Association as a new member, and hoped that the organization would be part of a proposed new Region."
